MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF CCRWD#2
The regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Rural Water District No. 2 of Cass County, Nebraska was held at 108 So. 4th Street, Elmwood, Nebraska on the 9th day of March 2023 at 7:30 p.m. Present were Don Edwards, Ted Retzlaff, Bill Ross, Martha Rhoades, Kiel Lawrence,Travis Isaacs, Assistant Manager Troy Callaway, and Manager Mark Hogue. Not in attendance John Wagoner
Notice of the meeting was given in advance thereof by newspaper publication and posting at the District Office, two of the designated methods of giving notice, as shown by the Affidavit of Publication (Certificate of Posting Notice) attached to these minutes. Notice of this meeting and an agenda were emailed to the Chairman and all members of the Board and are attached to the minutes. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public.
Chairman Don Edwards called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and he announced the open meetings act is posted on the wall in the office
February Meeting Minutes approved as distributed. No corrections
Treasurer’s Report: Motion to approve treasurer’s report by Bill -2nd Martha, Roll Call Vote – Motion approved 6-0.
Assistant Manager’s Report – Troy Callaway – Troy has been working on locates, Took monthly routine samples and Checked and recorded chlorine residual everyday. Read meters on 2-23-23. Installed 2 new services and replaced a meter pit on 148th St. Currently coordinating the water main bore project on 112th St (South of O St) the county to start project on 4-1-23
Office Report – 4 customers on the late list that will be sent a reminder if not paid by the 15th. Customer bills went out on 2-24-23.

OLD BUSINESS
Only 4 Forms left to collect for the Copper and Lead Rule regulations and service inventory.
Test well agreement Mickle Farms from Alan Wood. (On Hold)
Water operator position opening discussion on postings and resumes. (more to come)
NEW BUSINESS
CD’s update, Mark moved money from checking and combined with an existing CD at Riverstone Bank to create a new CD @ 4.55% for 11 months. CD from Corn Growers signed at meeting to cash and move to new CD with Riverstone @ 4.55% for 11 months. Mark is still working on other CDs to get them moved to a better rate.
