MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF CCRWD#2
The regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Rural Water District No. 2 of Cass County, Nebraska was held at 108 So. 4th Street, Elmwood, Nebraska on the 9th day of May 2019 at 7:30 p.m. Present were, Don Edwards, Ted Retzlaff, Eric Towle, Travis Isaacs, Martha Rhoades, Manager Mark Hogue, Assistant Manager Troy Callaway, Operator in Charge Dale Miller and Office Manager Tina Douglas. John Wagoner and Todd Hall were not at the meeting.

Notice of the meeting was given in advance thereof by newspaper publication and posting at the District Office, two of the designated methods of giving notice, as shown by the Affidavit of Publication (Certificate of Posting Notice) attached to these minutes. Notice of this meeting and an agenda were emailed to the Chairman and all members of the Board and is attached to the minutes. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public.

President –President Don Edwards called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.

Minutes were approved as distributed.
Treasurer’s Report: Travis Isaacs moved to accept the treasurers report and to pay the bills. Seconded by Eric Towle. Motion carried.

Assistant Manager’s Report: On April 17th Troy replaced a regulator at Woodland Hills then checked a leaky pit on Adams.
A final read was taken on April 19th at 5315 Deer Ridge Drive – #0672.
On April 22nd a water leak was repaired in a field behind Woodland Hills.
Troy read meters on April 23rd. A crew started digging under our main off 112th.
On April 24th they continued to dig under our main off 112th Street, between O Street and Holdrege, for their sewer project.
On April 25th the crew had all the dirt put back and packed down.
Troy did draw downs on May 1st. They are up a little from last month.
Troy replaced a miu near Dale’s home that wasn’t reading properly on May 6th.
Routine samples were taken on May 8th for the month at Brad Backemeyer’s home and the Walton Post Office.
Troy has also been busy doing locates and pit checks.

Administrative Assistant’s Report: – 13 delinquent letters were mailed on April 8th with an April 23rd shut off date. Money has been received by all.

Manager’s Report: —
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Dale has estimate for 10” Main project ~ Eric moved to proceed with the appraisals. Seconded by Travis Isaacs. Motion carried.

NEW BUSINESS:
1. Answering service for off business hours phone calls. Cost is $40.00 a month ~ Tabled
2. Website Update ~ We had a very productive meeting with Schrock and now have a set deadline for everything to be fixed or added.
3. Pickup ~ Mark received ten estimates for the new District truck. A spreadsheet of the estimates has been sent to the Board. Truck has been ordered at Lee Sapp.
4. Water Rates ~ Tabled
