MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF CCRWD#2
The regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Rural Water District No. 2 of Cass County, Nebraska was held at 108 So. 4th Street, Elmwood, Nebraska on the 12th day of January 2023 at 7:30 p.m. Present were Don Edwards, John Wagoner, Ted Retzlaff, Bill Ross, Martha Rhoades, Travis Isaacs, Assistant Manager Troy Callaway, and Manager Mark Hogue. Not in attendance Kiel Lawrence
Notice of the meeting was given in advance thereof by newspaper publication and posting at the District Office, two of the designated methods of giving notice, as shown by the Affidavit of Publication (Certificate of Posting Notice) attached to these minutes. Notice of this meeting and an agenda were emailed to the Chairman and all members of the Board and are attached to the minutes. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public.
Chairman Don Edwards called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and he announced the open meetings act is posted on the wall in the office
December Meeting Minutes approved as distributed. No corrections
Treasurer’s Report: Explanation/Update on financials by Manager Mark. He is currently working with Beth on the 2022 year end financial information. Motion to approve treasurer’s report by Martha -2nd John, Roll Call Vote – Motion approved 6-0.
Assistant Manager’s Report – Troy Callaway – Troy has been working on locates, Took monthly routine samples and Checked and recorded chlorine residual everyday. Read meters on 12-27-22. A customer lost pressure outside of the meter pit and the district is helping them get the water back on at the customers expense.
Office Report – 8 customers on the late list Mark has been in contact with them to make arrangements for payment. Customer bills went out on 12-28-22.

Letter to encourage water conservation along with new rate schedule. Motion to be send out as written by John -2nd Travis, Motion approved
Copper and Lead Rule regulations and service inventory. Project is 86% complete as of 1/9/23.
Test well agreement Mickle Farms from Alan Wood.
Job description revised for new water operator position.
NEW BUSINESS
2022 Water Loss Report complete. Mark is working on verifying all numbers are correct.
