MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF CCRWD#2
The regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Rural Water District No. 2 of Cass County, Nebraska was held at 108 So. 4th Street, Elmwood, Nebraska on the 12th day of May 2022 at 7:30 p.m. Present were Don Edwards, Ted Retzlaff, Bill Ross, Martha Rhoades, Travis Isaacs, Assistant Manager Troy Callaway, Manager Mark Hogue. Not in attendance John Wagoner
Notice of the meeting was given in advance thereof by newspaper publication and posting at the District Office, two of the designated methods of giving notice, as shown by the Affidavit of Publication (Certificate of Posting Notice) attached to these minutes. Notice of this meeting and an agenda were emailed to the Chairman and all members of the Board and are attached to the minutes. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public.
Chairman Don Edwards called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and he announced the open meetings act is posted on the wall in the office.
April Meeting Minutes approved as distributed.
Treasurer’s Report: Motion to approve treasurer’s report by Martha -2nd Travis, Roll Call Vote – Motion approved 5-0.
Assistant Manager’s Report – Troy Callaway – Troy has been doing locates, one new service install, three meters delivered to new houses in Woodland Hills, meter pit repair at Tower #1, he read meters on 4-26-22, and helped Mark with bank deposits.
Office Report – Mark touched on the five customers on the late list that will be sent a reminder if not paid by the 15th. Customer bills went out on 4-27-22.

Mark updated the board on Cross connection forms sent to customers. We have received about 62% back from customers.
Mark updated the board on Copper and Lead Rule regulations and service inventory forms. We have received about 18% back from customers.
NEW BUSINESS
New service approval 817. We do have capacity at this approximate location (230th and Van Dorn). Motion to approve new service #817 by Ted -2nd Bill, Roll Call Vote – Motion approved 5-0.
Board Vacancy letters sent out to Elmwood Township. One applicant as of 5-9-22.
The Flow Meter at the wellhouse needs to be replaced because the register’s battery is going dead. Mark is getting an estimate for replacement.
Well #3 independent connection to 12” distribution main.
Overview of the Water Loss Reports from the last few years for comparison.
Quality Water Report and current sample results and the NRD Map. Discussion on sample results being different between the CCR and NRD Map.
