MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF CCRWD#2
The regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Rural Water District No. 2 of Cass County, Nebraska was held at 108 So. 4th Street, Elmwood, Nebraska on the 13th day of May 2021 at 7:30 p.m. Present were Don Edwards, Ted Retzlaff, Bill Ross, Martha Rhoades, Manager Mark Hogue and Assistant Manager Troy Callaway. Not in attendance Travis Isaacs, Eric Towle and John Wagoner

Notice of the meeting was given in advance thereof by newspaper publication and posting at the District Office, two of the designated methods of giving notice, as shown by the Affidavit of Publication (Certificate of Posting Notice) attached to these minutes. Notice of this meeting and an agenda were emailed to the Chairman and all members of the Board and is attached to the minutes. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public.

President –President Don Edwards called the meeting to order at 7:32 p.m. and he announced the open meetings act is posted on the wall in the office.
February Meetings Minutes approved. No corrections
Treasurer’s Report:. Motion to receive treasurer’s report made by Bill – 2nd Martha, Roll Call Vote – Motion approved 4-0. No additional discussion on the Treasurer’s Report.

.Assistant Manager’s Report – Troy Callaway – Troy has been doing locates, replacing meter pits, replacing bad MIU’s, helping contractors with installing new water services, entering payments for deposits and he read meters on April 27th.

Office Report – Seven customers on the late list and will receive notices if not paid by the 15th. Customer bills went out on 4-28-2021. We have had 89 customers sign up for paperless billing so far.

Manager’s Report – Mark Hogue –
OLD BUSINESS
310th Street bridge replacement and road project to begin on May 10th. Grandpa’s Woods water service was relocated, and the old pit was abandoned. Joel Clements service had to be relocated also.
Old Cheney Road Paving Project Update: Pipe, brass fittings, and meter pits have been delivered for this project.. JEO is working on engineering the project but has been held up by the Otoe county engineers.

NEW BUSINESS
Three water services sold to Joyce Shear in 2008 installed this month along 10th and E Rd. ( Complete )
Loss of Signal Issues with SCADA. ( On hold )
Security Cameras outdated -estimates to come- 10 cameras currently in district
Water main exposed in the creek on 310th street that will have to be redone after the new bridge is complete.
