MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF CCRWD#2
The regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Rural Water District No. 2 of Cass County, Nebraska was held at 108 So. 4th Street, Elmwood, Nebraska on the 11th day of March 2021 at 7:30 p.m. Present were Don Edwards, Ted Retzlaff, John Wagoner, Bill Ross, Martha Rhoades, Travis Isaacs, Eric Towle, Manager Mark Hogue and Assistant Manager Troy Callaway.

Notice of the meeting was given in advance thereof by newspaper publication and posting at the District Office, two of the designated methods of giving notice, as shown by the Affidavit of Publication (Certificate of Posting Notice) attached to these minutes. Notice of this meeting and an agenda were emailed to the Chairman and all members of the Board and is attached to the minutes. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public.

President –President Don Edwards called the meeting to order at 7:28 p.m. and he announced the open meetings act is posted on the wall in the office.
February Meetings Minutes approved. No corrections
Treasurer’s Report:. Motion to receive treasurer’s report made by Martha – 2nd Eric, Roll Call Vote – Motion approved 7-0. No additional discussion on the Treasurer’s Report.

.Assistant Manager’s Report – Troy Callaway – Troy has been doing locates, entering payments for deposits and he read meters on February 23rd.

Office Report – 10 Customers on the late list and will receive notices on the 15th.Customer bills went out on 2-25-2021 an email bill was also sent out for all customers with an Email address on file. We have had 60 customers switch to paperless billing.

OLD BUSINESS
Annual Dinner at the Quonset Bar and Grill on March 12th @ 6pm
NEW BUSINESS
Mark is working with JEO on the Old Cheney Road Paving Project (between 190th and Woodland Hills) that could impact one mile of district water mains and at least 10 water services. Otoe county wants to begin this project in 2 months.
First State Bank CD matured 3-3-21 and was renewed for 12months @ .40%
A Street Road Paving Project has been discontinued by Cass Roads Department.
310th Street bridge replacement and road project to begin in May or June. The district has one water service that will be relocated next week for this project and because it is in the ROW the district will have to pay for this project.
Mark will update the board on costs on the project schedule of the Old Cheney project as the estimates and schedules for the work are received.
