MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF CCRWD#2
The regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Rural Water District No. 2 of Cass County, Nebraska was held at 108 So. 4th Street, Elmwood, Nebraska on the 14th day of July 2022 at 7:30 p.m. Present were Don Edwards, Ted Retzlaff, Bill Ross, Martha Rhoades, Travis Isaacs, Assistant Manager Troy Callaway, and Manager Mark Hogue. Not in attendance John Wagoner
Notice of the meeting was given in advance thereof by newspaper publication and posting at the District Office, two of the designated methods of giving notice, as shown by the Affidavit of Publication (Certificate of Posting Notice) attached to these minutes. Notice of this meeting and an agenda were emailed to the Chairman and all members of the Board and are attached to the minutes. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public.
Chairman Don Edwards called the meeting to order at 7:29 p.m. and he announced the open meetings act is posted on the wall in the office.
June Meeting Minutes approved as distributed.
Treasurer’s Report: Explanation/Update on financials by Mark. Motion to approve treasurer’s report by Martha -2nd Travis, Roll Call Vote – Motion approved 5-0.
Assistant Manager’s Report – Troy Callaway – Troy has been working on locates, repairing meter pits and customer services on C rd. and helping in the office with deposits. He may have more notes to share at the meeting. he read meters on 6-26-22, and helped Mark with bank deposits.
Office Report – 9 customers on the late list that will be sent a reminder if not paid by the 15th. Customer bills went out on 6-29-22.

OLD BUSINESS
Cross connection forms sent to customers ( NEW MAILING done June 30th via email and postal ) We received 56 new forms since the last mailing. That puts us at 74%. Last month was 62%.
Copper and Lead Rule regulations and service inventory forms sent to customers ( NEW MAILING done June 30th via email and postal ) We received 151 new forms since this last mailing. That puts us at 45%. Last month was 18%.
Board Vacancy letters sent out to Elmwood Township. Two applicants in the township as of 7-1-22. (Interviews being scheduled for the meeting)
NEW BUSINESS
Otoe Dept. of Roads will have a reimbursement check to come the week of July 18th.

During the meeting two candidates were interviewed for the open seat on the Board.
Motion by Ted to offer Kiel Lawrence the position – 2nd Travis.
Roll Call Vote – Don, yes – Travis, Yes – Martha, Yes – Bill, No – Ted, Yes – Motion approved 4-1
