MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF CCRWD#2
The regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Rural Water District No. 2 of Cass County, Nebraska was held at 108 So. 4th Street, Elmwood, Nebraska on the 14th day of January 2021 at 7:30 p.m. Present were Don Edwards, Ted Retzlaff, John Wagoner, Bill Ross, Martha Rhoades, Travis Isaacs, Manager Mark Hogue and Assistant Manager Troy Callaway. Not in attendance Eric Towle

Notice of the meeting was given in advance thereof by newspaper publication and posting at the District Office, two of the designated methods of giving notice, as shown by the Affidavit of Publication (Certificate of Posting Notice) attached to these minutes. Notice of this meeting and an agenda were emailed to the Chairman and all members of the Board and is attached to the minutes. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public.

President –President Don Edwards called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and he announced the open meetings act is posted on the wall in the office.
December Minutes approved.
Treasurer’s Report:. Motion to receive treasurer’s report made by Martha – 2nd John, Roll Call Vote Motion approved 6-0. No additional discussion on the Treasurer’s Report.

.Assistant Manager’s Report – Troy Callaway – Troy has been doing locates and working with Lovell Excavating replacing and retrofitting meter pits. He read meters on December 22nd.

Office Report – 16 customers on late list will receive shut off notices after 1-15-21. Beth is working on end of year financials and getting the district ready for the audit. Customer bills went out on 12-28-2020 and an email bill was also sent out (for the first time) for all customers with an Email address on file. Mark will send an alert through the district website offering paperless billing to all customers.

OLD BUSINESS
Met with JEO (Engineering) about GIS system mapping. More to come.
NEW BUSINESS
Neptune paid until June. SDT AMI Sentry to go live in May for testing. Mark will have more to talk about in May this year.
Talked to Murdock about using the water tower in Murdock for the new AMI meter reading. Mark will attend a Murdock board meeting February 2, 2021 to discuss this Murdock Village Board.
