MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF CCRWD#2
The regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Rural Water District No. 2 of Cass County, Nebraska was held at 108 So. 4th Street, Elmwood, Nebraska on the 12th day of August 2021 at 7:30 p.m. Present were Don Edwards, Ted Retzlaff, Bill Ross, Martha Rhoades, Travis Isaacs, John Wagoner Eric Towle, Manager Mark Hogue and Assistant Manager Troy Callaway.

Notice of the meeting was given in advance thereof by newspaper publication and posting at the District Office, two of the designated methods of giving notice, as shown by the Affidavit of Publication (Certificate of Posting Notice) attached to these minutes. Notice of this meeting and an agenda were emailed to the Chairman and all members of the Board and are attached to the minutes. All proceedings hereafter shown were taken while the convened meeting was open to the attendance of the public.

President –Chairman Don Edwards called the meeting to order at 7:31 p.m. and he announced the open meetings act is posted on the wall in the office.
June Meeting Minutes approved. No corrections
Treasurer’s Report:. Motion to receive treasurer’s report made by Eric – 2nd Martha, Roll Call Vote – Motion approved 7-0. No additional discussion on the Treasurer’s Report.

.Assistant Manager’s Report – Troy Callaway – Troy has been doing locates, working with contractors on water main repairs, entering payments for deposits and he read meters on July 27th.

Office Report – Beth and Mark upcoming meeting to begin looking at the 2022 budget plan. They will also be reviewing ledger items at this time. 18 customers on the late list and will receive a notice if not paid by the 15th. Customer bills went out on 7-28-21.

OLD BUSINESS
Old Cheney water main replacement.Work to begin August 11th to bore under creek and County Road C.

NEW BUSINESS
Water main on 310th St was hit 3 times during the bridge replacement. Cass county roads dept. will pay for the emergency project to move the main so it didn’t get hit anymore.
Should we change the way we bill for someone hitting our main if it was not called in for a locate? Move to old business on next month’s agenda.
New truck for next year? Talked to Lee Sapp if ordered now it would most likely not be ready until maybe February to April of next year.
Property by Alvo on Fletcher Rd. inquiring about water. Motion made by Ted – 2nd John, Roll Call Vote – Motion approved 7-0 Application for service approved #0808
